Roatan, Honduras - October 2008
This was another UDT trip I lead. It rained almost the whole week, yet most of our group would return to Anthony's Key Resort in heartbeat. I loved the cabanas on the key, over the water. It was fun taking the water taxi each day to and from the key - even in what seemed like a hurricane! I was very impressed with this all-inclusive resort - from the food and restaurant staff to the dive shop and divemasters. The groundskeepers worked hard at keeping the place spotless! Because of the weather, we were only able to dive the north side of the island one day. We did a wreck dive and played with the friendly groupers on the reef. The rest of the week we were shuttled to the south side of the island where we dove amazing reefs and walls, The corals and marine life are plentiful and very healthy in Roatan. We saw such a wide variety of fish and lobsters on every dive! Once again, because of the weather, we were not able to enjoy the zipline on our no-dive day, but some of our group did the dolphin enounter at Anthony's Key Resort. Our trip motto was "if you can do it...YOU CAN DO IT!"
